Nuage Ceramide Gentle Cleanser sold at Amazon and The Reject Shop recalled by ACCC

A popular cleanser has been urgently recalled by The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission after it was found to contain excessive levels of bacteria.
Shoppers have been told to stop using Nuage Ceramide Gentle Cleanser immediately after people reported infections and irritation to their skin and eyes.
“The product contains an excessive level of aerobic mesophilic bacteria,” the ACCC said.

The product was sold by retail giants including Amazon and The Reject Shop between July 19, 2024 and February 12, 2025.
Customers who purchased one of the following affected batches can return the product for a full refund:
- 2307-165
- 2308-165
- 2406-165
The product is marketed as a make-up remover that can be used on wet or dry skin.
