West Coast were a long way off featuring in the grand final this year, but three of the club’s most loved players will provide a distinct Eagles flavour to Thursday night’s edition of Seven’s The Front Bar when they link up for the first time.

It sounds like an Eagles supporter selecting their dream midfield, as No.9s Ben Cousins, Nic Naitanui and Harley Reid headline the popular comedic footy talk show hosted by Sam Pang, Mick Molloy and Andy Maher.

The show has gone all out for its annual grand final edition, set to send the 2024 season off with a bang ahead of Saturday’s decider between Sydney and Brisbane at the MCG.

All three Eagles have graced the storied No.9 guernsey, with Cousins wearing it to a premiership and Naitanui one of the club’s champions.

Reid was presented the jumper after he was drafted with the No.1 pick last season, with the flying Fijian having hung up the boots at the end of that season, alongside Luke Shuey and Shannon Hurn.

Both Cousins and Naitanui have appeared on the show already this year, while it will be a debut for teen sensation Reid, who is in Melbourne visiting family after attending his first Brownlow Medal count. The show will mark the first time the trio have appeared together.

Reid is the talk of the AFL world after a stunning debut season, named the best first-year player by the rest of the competition and stamping himself as the future of the Eagles as they rebuild.

He is also one of the most in-demand players for interviews after Reid gave a hilarious speech after winning the Mark of the Year award on Brownlow night.
