A mother has died following an alleged hit-and-run, with her family remembering her as a person with “so much heart”.

Tania, 43, was hit by a car in Geelong at the intersection of Plantation Rd and Washington St, Corio just before 6.45am on August 11.

Police allege the driver fled the scene before officers arrived.

Tania was taken to hospital, however, died just after 6pm on Thursday.

Her family said they were devastated by her death but were proud her final gift was donating her organs to those in need.

“Tania was friendly to everyone and a person with so much heart,” the family said.

“She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. There is no way to express the emotions we are feeling at this time and we ask the public to respect our privacy while the matter is being investigated.

“We are so proud that Tania’s last gift was to donate her organs so that others can continue to live their lives.”
