A man has reportedly drowned while visiting one of the most popular swimming spots in the Northern Territory.

NT Police confirmed they were called out to Berry Springs Nature Park, south of Darwin, about 9am on Saturday.

Paramedics attended the scene and attempted to revive the man, reportedly a tourist, but declared him dead a short time later.

Police said they were preparing a report for the coroner.
