NSW Police have cordoned off an area in Auburn after shots were fired at a car on Chisholm Road.

Police are on the hunt for two men after a volley of shots was fired at a home and a car was set alight in what is believed to be another gangland-related attack in Sydney’s south west suburbs.

A parked car and a house were fired at 10 times on Chisholm Road, Auburn, just after 3pm on Wednesday, before men in balaclavas were seen fleeing the area.

Auburn Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene, but no injuries were reported.

Officers were told two men in dark clothing were spotted running away from the car fire and to the adjacent Heiden Park reserve.

Police believe the incidents are linked and have set up crime scenes at both locations, with specialist officers set to examine the areas.

Local police, the Dog Squad and PolAir are searching the area for those involved.

Police are urging anyone with information — or who were in the areas at the time with any available dash cam/mobile phone footage— to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
