Two occupants of a home in Queensland have been subjected to a brutal bashing as they confronted two home invaders.

Police are investigating the alleged robbery with violence at the address in Murgon on Tuesday.

Initial investigations indicate two people broke into the property on Wallace Street around 10.30pm and were confronted by two male occupants in their 60s.

The offenders the allegedly assaulted both occupants, including one with what appeared to be a metal bar.

They then left the scene in a stolen Mitsubishi Magna.

Both victims suffered minor injuries during the incident and were treated on scene for their injuries.
