Teen rushed to hospital after stabbing at Sydney football oval
A teenager has been charged after allegedly attacking another teenager with a machete in Sydney’s southwest.
About 8pm on Tuesday, emergency services were called to a carpark at Jack Brabham Reserve in Oran Park, after reports of an assault.
A 17-year-old boy was found with stab wounds to both his hands.

Family friends who witnessed the scene have told 7NEWS they were in complete shock.
“He’s a good kid ... he didn’t deserve it at all,” friend Tepaea O’Brien said.
He was treated by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
He underwent surgery on Wednesday morning, with fears the boy may lose his hand.
7NEWS understands a number of teenagers were at the oval for football training at the time of the incident.
A 14-year-old boy was later arrested at Narellan Police Station about 1.30am on Wednesday.
He has been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail and will face a children’s court next week.
Police will allege the boys are known to each other.
