A car packed full of passengers has plunged into a swimming pool at a home in Perth’s southern suburbs overnight.

Police said the Honda Civic sedan landed in the pool on Willshire Way in Yangebup about 7.30pm on Tuesday after failing to negotiate a turn.

The 42-year-old driver had turned onto Willshire Way from Williambury Drive when he veered off the road, went through a boundary fence, broke a patio pillar, slammed through the pool fence and landed in the pool of the home.
