Dave Hughes unleashes at Adelaide Fringe Show over women speaking in the audience: ‘It’s my show, this is ridiculous’

Comedian Dave Hughes has been caught on camera levelling a foul-mouthed rant at a group of chatty spectators after he had enough of them talking through his show.
The comedian was in Adelaide performing for the city’s landmark Fringe Festival at The Woodcroft Hotel when he lost his patience at the three women.
Cutting his show halfway through, Hughesy turned his attention to the trio to unleash on their “rude” behaviour.

“Seriously this is f**king ridiculous.
“When someone is speaking like that, it’s so f**king distracting. It’s the height of rudeness.”
Hughes later addressed the drama, saying one of the women in the group would not stop talking.
The trio were given several warnings before being escorted out by security.
In a hilarious twist, one woman was seen even given Hughes a huge before being shown the door.
“It’s frustrating for me as a performer and the audience as well,” Hughes said.
“Look if you’ve paid money to go to a show — you’ve got to shut up.”
The rest of the crowd agreed.
“Totally felt for him. You know he’s just trying to do his job and entertain people and have fun,” audience member Sharmila Robertson said.
“You’ve got these people being totally rude and disrespectful like what are you meant to do?”
Hughes later said he was more than happy to offer the three women a refund, given they had missed half the show.
But he also offered a piece of advice for anyone attending his performances.
“Don’t have your own conversations loudly. Especially if you’re in the second row because it’s not TV. The performers can hear you,” he said.
“Maybe I’m not entertaining enough,” he joked.
