Diary of a divorcée: Isla Fisher spotted on Bridget Jones film set following split from Sacha Baron Cohen

Aussie actress Isla Fisher has been spotted running amok on the set of Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy following her official split from Sacha Baron Cohen in April.

The Perth-raised industry veteran joined Renee Zellweger and the extended cast as they filmed in London in recent weeks.

With her tresses curled and fluffed, the red-headed beauty could be seen strutting in furry slippers between takes.

She sported a voluminous golden frock and forest green coat framed by a sparkly belt buckle and flowing pendant, swapping the slippers for laced heels as she got into character.

Grinning from ear to ear, Fisher appeared upbeat and even wielded a large red water gun as she played gleefully with children while filming a scene.

However, the fun was short-lived, as the fourth instalment of the successful franchise was reportedly “thrown into chaos” when an unnamed cast member suffered a broken bone and was taken to hospital.

“It’s a total disaster. This has all been so devastating for the entire cast and all the hardworking staff who were down to work”, a source told The Sun.

“They’d been due to shoot some of the film’s most important scenes and then they suffered this setback after a really unfortunate accident.

Delaying production, the unfortunate situation is said to threaten the “busy diaries of A-listers.”

Believed to play a friend of Oscar winner Zellweger’s character, the Shopaholic star is set to star alongside Hugh Grant who will reprise his role as Daniel Cleaver, Grant’s Love Actually co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor, and One Day’s Leo Woodall.

Fisher, 48, finalised her divorce from British filmmaker Baron Cohen in April this year following a decade of marriage.

She has since thanked fans for their support during the emotional period, with public allegations her ex-husband behaved inappropriately towards Rebel Wilson on the set of Grimsby marring their split.
