But it’s not the first time Lazzio has been crowned overall Large Chain Champion at the Golden Bean Australasia Awards. In fact, this is the brand’s sixth title win.
ALDI Australia’s coffee buying director Daniel Quinlan said the supermarket chain was proud to bring “exquisite coffee” to customers at an affordable price point.
“This latest win is just another notch in our longstanding successful partnership and a reinforcement that Aussie shoppers simply cannot get enough of our coffee,” Mr Quinlan said.
Earlier this year, Lazzio was also dubbed the winner of the Overall Lage Chain Champion at the World Series of the Golden Bean Awards for a second year in a row.
ALDI Australia has worked with Black Bag Roasters producing Lazzio products for a decade.
The demand for Lazzio coffee has jumped significantly since it was introduced to ALDI stores: soaring from supplying four tonnes of coffee beans in 2014 to 65 tonnes per week in 2024.
The Lazzio range includes 10 coffee blends, including medium and dark coffee beans, organic ground coffee, single-origin Brazil and Colombia beans and a premium coffee blend called Lazzio Luxe Blend Beans.
Mr Quinlan said prices start from “just under 30 cents a cup” making Lazzio the ideal option for coffee guzzlers on a budget.
“With prices starting from just under 30 cents a cup, Lazzio offers high-quality taste at an affordable price, and is proudly roasted in Australia,” he said.
