Aussies have the chance to snipe a ludicrous sum of money with the USA Power Lotto jackpot reaching an extraordinary sum of $1.2 billion AUD.

Despite being a US draw, Australians can purchase tickets online and collect winnings through The Lottery Office, giving punters the opportunity to take an incredible amount of money off the Americans.

The next draw will be 12.59pm AEST on Thursday after no winners were drawn on Monday. If no one takes home the top prize then Aussies can try again on Sunday.

Those who try their luck have until the morning to purchase a ticket, with the winner needing to match five numbers plus the all important Powerball.

If an Aussie was lucky enough to hit the jackpot it would become the largest Lotto win by a wide margin, with the biggest Australian Powerball jackpot coming in at $200 million in February 2024.

While the largest individual Lotto win in Australia was one player’s slip earning them an insane $150 million from May last year.

On Australian soil, one lucky player scooped up $15 million in Tuesday’s OzLotto draw, although it could have been a costly miss when the NSW mum nearly forgot to buy her weekly ticket.

“I even thought, ‘Do I give it a miss?’. I’m so glad I didn’t,” the woman told The Lott officials.

She scooped the entire division one prize pool, with her 50-game QuickPick entry, the only ticket to have all the numbers.

“My husband is going to be so excited when I tell him,” she said.
