“I’m thrilled to be joining a show that will truly redefine renovation TV. Along with Simon and Julia, I get to share my experience with a new generation of Aussie renovators in one of my favourite cities.,” Whitaker said.
“I can’t wait to see the creative and innovative ideas our teams bring to the competition.”

With his critical eye and intimate knowledge of what truly adds value, he will guide the teams to ensure their renovation plans reach the height of style, elegance, and technology.

A Show That Gives Back
This groundbreaking new series, hosted by Dr Chris Brown, will see four teams of “Aussie battlers” go head-to-head.
They will be tasked with transforming two neighbouring, rundown homes in an undisclosed Melbourne suburb, all for a cash prize for themselves.
However, in a television first, the true winners could be watching from their own living rooms. Two lucky Australians will be given the keys to the spectacularly renovated, multimillion-dollar homes, fully furnished, landscaped, and equipped with luxury features.
This unprecedented giveaway will be conducted in an electrifying live grand final.
The two homes were generously donated by LMCT+ founder Adrian Portelli.
Portelli, who has been a prominent figure in the renovation reality space, explained his decision to partner with Seven.
“On previous reno shows, they might do auctions and, unfortunately, only 1 per cent of the viewing audience have the capacity to buy those homes,” he said.
“So, it’s an awesome feeling to be able to take the viewers on an emotional journey, watch the houses get renovated and transformed into a dream luxury home, then potentially win it.”
Angus Ross, Seven’s Director of Television, described My Reno Rules as taking “all the emotion, competition and high-stakes drama of My Kitchen Rules and brings it into the property world, with even higher rewards.”
As a partner of the show, view.com.au will be the go-to destination for exclusive content, expert insights, and digital tools to help viewers understand what really adds value to a home.
Whether you’re a keen renovator, a first-home buyer looking for inspiration, or just love a good stickybeak, My Reno Rules is set to be a must-watch television event.
The series, produced by Endemol Shine Australia, will screen on Seven and 7plus in 2026.
