For the first time, Seven’s exclusive, live and free coverage will begin earlier than ever, with a pre-red carpet show, Blue Carpet Confessionals, to be streamed live from 5.30pm AEST on 7plus Sport.
Celebrity stylist Elliot Garnaut and AFL legend Isaac Smith from the podcast No Utes in the Valet sit down with the biggest names in the competition and their dazzling partners ahead of football’s biggest night, right outside the Palladium at Crown Melbourne, where all the magic happens.
With Garnaut’s fashion nous and Smith’s footy knowledge, viewers are in for a sharp, hilarious and light-hearted broadcast, where the hosts will reverse their roles and challenge their footy and fashion smarts ahead of all the red carpet show and 2025 Brownlow Medal count action on 7plus Sport.
Then, the glitz and glamour of the red carpet kicks off from 7.30pm AEST on Seven, 7mate, and 7plus Sport, where viewers will be greeted by 7AFL host and field commentator Abbey Holmes, alongside an energetic crew of 7Sport’s most entertaining faces Emma Freedman, Dale Thomas and Matthew Richardson.

Together, they will cover all the red carpet magic, quizzing the players with burning questions before the count gets underway.
The Seven Network’s head of AFL and sport innovation Gary O’Keefe said he’s excited for the new-look Brownlow coverage.
“From the first interview on the Blue Carpet Confessionals couch, through to what we expect to be a nail-biting final vote count, Australians can catch every moment of the 2025 Brownlow Medal live, free and only on Seven and 7plus Sport,” he said.
“We know how unpredictable and competitive the Brownlow Medal count can be, and we anticipate this year will be no different.
“Nick Daicos just keeps getting better, the man more affectionately known as Bazlenka (Smith) continues to set games alight, and two young Suns in Noah Anderson and his best mate Matt Rowell put the Gold Coast on the map in 2025. It’s been an incredible year of football and we can’t wait to see who takes out the game’s highest individual honour.
“With innovative broadcast technology — including the return of the Sparklebot slow-motion camera on the red carpet — the 2025 Brownlow Medal broadcast will be one to remember.”
The Brownlow Medal marks the beginning of football’s biggest week, leading into the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, 27 September live, free and exclusive on Seven and 7plus Sport. Full details of Seven’s Grand Final week coverage will be revealed soon.
