Anticipation for the blockbuster fight has just gone into overdrive.

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul clashed at their weigh-in ahead of Saturday’s (WA time) blockbuster bout, with Paul responding by labelling the boxing legend as an “angry little elf”.

Tyson is returning to the ring at age 58 to take on Paul, with no love lost between the two showmen.

“I didn’t even feel it,” Paul said after the slap.

“He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, that was a cute little slap.

Tyson, who has been far less vocal than his opponent in the lead-up to the bout at AT&T Stadium in Texas, said simply: “Talk is over”.

Social media sensation turned boxer Paul weighed in at 227.2 pounds (103kg) - marginally lighter than Tyson’s 228.4 pounds (104kg).

Having initially retired in 2005, Tyson is considered a $2.65 underdog to win the fight.
