NRL star Reece Walsh hits out at radio presenter Adam Hawse for comments made about Ezra Mam

NRL superstar Reece Walsh has taken objection to comments made by radio presenter Adam Hawse.
Hawse took aim at Walsh’s Broncos teammate Ezra Mam, who received a nine-game suspension after he pleaded guilty to driving unlicensed and with drugs in his system.
The incident resulted in a head-on collision on October 18 last year, and later it came to light that a woman and her four-year-old daughter were passengers in the Uber when it collided with Mam’s vehicle.

Since his recent return to NRL action, Mam has been booed by crowds, while the Broncos have not had a win since Round 8.
Following another loss, Hawse ripped into the team on his 2GB radio program, while also having a crack at Mam.

“And here’s some advice to Ezra Mam: Suck it up, mate. You did the wrong thing, you’re gonna get booed,” Hawse said.
“If you’re genuinely remorseful for your actions which injured a mother and her daughter, you’ve gotta take the booing on the chin.
“If you score a try like you did against Manly, I suggest you celebrate with your teammates.
“Turn around, walk back with your team to halfway instead of trying to get square with the crowd with your try celebration.”
Hawse also called the Broncos “listless” and “overrated”.
When Walsh saw the clip on social media, he didn’t hold back.
“How has he not copped it on the chin?” the fullback said.
“You’ve never stepped onto a field so you wouldn’t know what it’s like out there, good reporting ADAM (sic).”
Walsh also included a clown emoji on his response.
Brisbane have named Walsh at fullback to face Gold Coast and will give him until captain’s run to prove he has completely recovered from the knee injury that sidelined him for six weeks.
Walsh is considered the leading alternative to Queensland fullback Kalyn Ponga, who disappointed in last week’s Game 1 loss to NSW.
It will be his last chance to push his selection case in a bid to line up for the Maroons.
