Guests flee for their lives as a wild leopard wanders into a wedding in India
Brides and grooms usually want their wedding to be perfect.
But one uninvited guest caused panic for newlyweds Akshay Srivastava and Jyoti Kumari when a leopard gate-crashed their nuptials in the Indian city of Lucknow, about 500km from the capital New Delhi.
The big cat wandered into the couple’s wedding at MM Lawn about 11pm, causing guests to run for their lives as the bride and groom locked themselves in their matrimonial car for safety, according to local NDTV.

The distressed animal leapt at an official, injuring him.
Two cameramen were also injured when they were knocked down as they tried to escape.

The leopard was finally captured about 3.30am, before the wedding celebrations resumed.
On Friday, Sunrise newsreader Monique Wright spoke about the footage of the incident.
“An uninvited guest made a surprise appearance at a wedding in India,” she said.
“A leopard walked into the banquet hall, quickly ending a special party .... the bride and groom took refuge in a car while police and wildlife officials tracked the big cat down.”
“Oh, wow,” host David Woiwod chimed in.
“After a few surprises they were able to tranquillise it,” Wright continued.
“I hadn’t actually looked at the vision yet.
“I thought, ‘What brilliant idea to get out of an event early’.
“Now, I am seeing that (it might not be such a great idea).”
