An Australian adult star has been accused of contributing to a “rise in misogyny” among young men.

Annie Knight, 27, who attended one of Melbourne’s most elite high schools, has been labelled “Australia’s most sexually active woman” after her stunts involving sex with hundreds of men in a single day.

Earlier this year, she was hospitalised after sleeping with 583 men in just six hours.

Knight, who is unapologetic about her steamy escapades, caught the ire of fans in one of her most recent posts, with them linking her work on OnlyFans to the rise of poor attitudes towards women by young men.

“Are we missing the correlation between this behaviour and the rise of misogynistic behaviour in young males?” one fan wrote, in a comment which had been ‘hearted’ hundreds of times.

“(Is there) any wonder the young men today have no respect for women,” another added.

Yet another wrote: “I’m open minded but this is just taking women backwards”.

Others were supportive of Knight, however, writing in part: “There wouldn’t be an industry without customers. So, if you’re badmouthing the women, make sure you’re condemning the men.”

In mid-2023, researchers interviewed 30 women teachers working in Australian schools. The teachers described increases in sexism, misogyny and sexual harassment in their classrooms in an article published in The Conversation.

Many have blamed the “manosphere” and the rise of influencers such as Andrew Tate for these kinds of attitudes surging among younger men.

Knight revealed the toll her work took on her body, both physically and mentally. In May, she penned a post about how women’s health is often dismissed by doctors.

“One thing that has shocked me more than anything through all my health issues is how quickly doctors and specialists dismiss women’s health,” she said.

“I’ve been [bleeding] non-stop and in severe pain since January this year. I saw a specialist, he did exploratory surgery and found nothing wrong and put me on the IUD.

“My symptoms have not stopped since getting the IUD. I’ve called his office crying and begging for them to help me.

“They continue to dismiss my pain and bleeding as IUD spotting and adjustment (despite the fact it was happening four months prior to getting the IUD).”

Knight explained she has been struggling with mental health and the continuous struggle has impacted her “life, work, and people who love me”.

“He then said, ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with you’ and sent me home after telling him I can’t live like this and begging him for help,” she said.

“I’m so sick of being dismissed and made to feel like me pain and suffering isn’t or important.”

Knight has been open with her struggles following her high-profile sexcapade, including the huge amount of stress she put herself under as a result of the stunt.

Knight said her body has “just hit a wall”, and she is “exhausted” and “burnt out”.

“The prognosis is good, and it looks like I’m going to have to take a week off, try and relax a little bit, sit out in the sun, just take it easy for a little while,” Knight said at the time.

“But I’ll definitely be OK. I’m not letting this slow me down.”

Knight hired a swingers club for the stunt, with each man allowed 30 seconds.

She said she had someone “making sure the guys were wearing condoms” and described the day as “absolute chaos”.

The OnlyFans creator had a goal of sleeping with 1000 men this year, which she claims she has already surpassed.

Knight has become one of Australia’s biggest creators, with more than 265,000 followers on Instagram.
