Alice Springs: Police investigating suspicious death of 44-year-old man found in bed with injuries

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Alice Springs after a man was found injured.

About 9.10am on Sunday, emergency services were contacted about a man found unresponsive.

The 44-year-old was found in a bed in a residence on Nicker Crescent in the Alice Springs suburb of Gillen.

He had injuries to his head and lower body and was declared dead at the scene.

Police have launched an investigation into the death, which they are treating as suspicious.

The cause of death remains unknown and officers are working to determine the circumstances and timing of the man’s injuries.
