Natasha Oakley has revealed doctors found a 2.5cm tumour on her kidney, which needed to be removed by surgery.

The model and Monday Swimwear founder, 35, shared the news next to a series of confronting photos.

“Little life update ... The last six months have felt a little different. In March, my Prenuvo MRI scan found a small 2.5cm tumour in my left kidney,” Oakley wrote.

“After multiple scans and a biopsy, we decided the best course of action was to do a partial nephrectomy — to remove the tumour and part of my kidney.

“Last week, we successfully removed the low-grade cancerous tumour, and now I am on the road to recovery.

“There have been highs and lows, but overall I’m just so grateful we picked up on it.”

Oakley, who is married to Chambers Cellars heir, Theo Chambers, thanked her husband and Monday Swimwear business partner, Devin Brugman for their support.

“This little health hiccup has been nothing compared to what so many people go through,” Natasha continued.

“It has just made me feel even more empathetic towards anyone experiencing health challenges — and, of course, even more appreciative of my own health.”

Oakley shared a number of photos, showing the incisions from the surgeon’s knife. A mirror selfie also showed the incision on her back, from where the tumour had been removed.

Other photos showed her posing next to an MRI machine.

Oakley and Brugman achieved success from their A Bikini A Day blog, which was started in 2012.

The pair would share daily posts of themselves wearing a bikini, which led to them launching Monday Swimwear just two years later.

Oakley appeared on The Australian Financial Review’s rich list, with a net worth of more than $60 million.
