Bachelor star Sam Wood to apply for bail after spending days in jail over DV and strangulation charges

Ex-Bachelor star and fitness influencer Sam Wood is just moments away from learning whether his bid for bail will be successful.

Ex-Bachelor star and fitness influencer Sam Wood is just moments away from learning whether his bid for bail will be successful.

The 46-year-old is set to appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon after spending five nights in a holding cell.

Wood is facing serious domestic violence charges following an alleged incident on Saturday night at a Noosa hotel.

He was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence) and strangulation in a domestic setting.

While the reality star will be appearing in court via video link, his lawyer and father Andrew were spotted walking to the court house together shortly after 1pm local time.

Wood’s wife, Snezana, was not in court for the hearing.

A hoard of journalists are waiting outside the Queensland court, with some questioning the star’s lawyer ahead of the hearing.

When asked how confident he felt about his client’s chance at being granted bail, Mr Cuskelly simply said: “We’ll see what happens.”
