Bones excavated at construction site at Cromer in Sydney’s Northern Beaches

Remains found in Sydney’s Northern Beaches on Wednesday morning have been found not to be human.

The bones were excavated during construction at a site on South Creek Rd in Cromer.

The bones were taken for “forensic examination to determine if they are human,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

But testing has since revealed that the remains are not of human origin.

“No further police investigation will take place,” NSW Police said on Thursday.
