Boy charged with murder after stabbings near Sydney school

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder following stabbings near a Sydney school that left one teenager dead and another seriously injured.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing attack near a school in Sydney’s west.

Officers were called to reports of multiple stabbings near a school in Doonside about 3.40pm on Friday.

Before they arrived, two teenagers went to Blacktown Police Station with stab wounds.

An 18-year-old died there and a 19-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A boy, 16, was arrested near the school and charged with murder.

He was refused bail and is due to face court on Saturday.

Police say inquiries continue and anyone with information has been urged to come forward.
