The Special Minister of State is Senator Don Farrell, and the special minister duties include “Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (MOP(S) Act) employment framework” according to the Department of Finance website.

Few details have been shared around what Mr Lehrmann is suing the Government for.

The Federal Court listing shows Mr Lehrmann filed a document titled “Originating Application for Relief Under Section 39B Judiciary Act 1903” on September 4.

The fresh legal move comes after the WA Supreme Court ruled that Brittany Higgins and her partner David Sharaz defamed former Senator Linda Reynolds.
