Police were called to Liverpool Hospital about 8.30pm on Tuesday after reports that two men, aged 28 and 32, had presented with multiple wounds.

The 28-year-old, who is yet to be formally identified, was treated for a gunshot injury but died a short time later.

The other man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition with a neck injury, police said.

About 10 minutes after police received the first call, two other men, aged 22 and 23, presented to Fairfield Hospital in a critical condition.

The 23-year-old is being treated for a gunshot injury to his neck, and the 22-year-old is receiving treatment for a shoulder injury.

Then, at 9.50pm, a fifth man, aged 19, appeared at Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

He is also receiving treatment for injuries to his arm, police said.

Police have established a crime scene at a home in Canley Heights and are investigating with assistance from the homicide squad.
