He then went on to attack the government for letting criminals rort the NDIS.
“The NDIS, its a cash machine for criminals now, it’s meant to help disabled people,” he continued. “What the f...s that about?
The controversial NDIS overhaul handed down in Tuesday’s Budget is designed to target “grifters, fraudsters and crooks” using the scheme as an “ATM”, according to Health Minister Mark Butler.
“Why? Why have you let this happen,” Hughesy asked. “Are you in on it?”
The 55-year-old then questioned why Australian’s are paying tax if it’s just going to fall into the hands of criminals.
“The tobacco industry. That’s just billions and billions of dollars going to criminals, who firebomb tobacconists every second day,” he added.
“What the f... are you doing? What’s the point of paying tax when you know it’s just going to be stolen by criminals because the government’s are f...ing useless.”
In the caption, Hughes offered a blunt message: “Enough of this bulls..t.”
Many commenters were supportive of Hughesy’s message, with one saying: “Good on you for saying it aloud ! Using your platform for good of Australians !!! Enough is Enough!”
Another added their own experience with the scheme: “The NDIS spending is the Government’s mismanagement and now disabled people will pay the costs.
“We have personally been reporting rorters for 10 years and they have not investigated any.”
The Government said the “difficult but necessary” reform of the insurance scheme will improve the bottom line by $26.1 billion.
There is $2 billion allocated for the Thriving Kids program that is expected to take over disability support for children under nine with level one or two autism. And $3 billion for other foundational supports.
