The 66-year-old has been jailed after being found guilty of two counts of rape.
Former agent to the stars Ralph Carr has been jailed for six years for raping a former employee in an “appalling” assault.
Carr, who managed the careers of former AFL star Dustin Martin and ex-wife Tina Arena, cried and dropped his head almost to his lap as he learnt his sentence on Tuesday afternoon.
The 66-year-old, who appeared on video link from prison, had sought for his sentence to be stayed while he appeals his rape and sexual assault convictions, claiming he had suffered a miscarriage of justice.

The former agent has been in custody since his trial ended in July.
The judge described Carr’s offending as “appalling” and an “egregious breach of trust” as he jailed him for six years, with a non-parole period of four years.
A jury found Carr assaulted a former employee at his Melbourne home in the early hours of March 24, 2023, after she became emotional discussing a relationship break-up.
He hugged her and began kissing her and touching her breasts, waist and buttocks while she tried to push him away.
When she told him to stop, Carr told her he couldn’t because she was “so sexy” before raping her twice while she cried into a pillow.
After being charged, Carr’s identity remained secret for close to three years.
But he was unmasked days after the July 28 verdicts when his suppression order was lifted.
