East Lismore deaths: Police investigating after 38-year-old man and two-year-old son found dead in apartment

A crime scene has been established after police discovered the bodies of a man and his young child in an East Lismore home.

Officers from the Richmond Police District responded to concerns for the welfare of a 38-year-old man and his two-year-old son on Sunday.

Arriving at a unit on College Street shortly after 9.30PM, emergency services forced entry into the residence, where they found both the man and young child deceased.

A report will be prepared for the NSW Coroner.

NSW Police have established a crime scene and launched an investigation, operating under strike force McGuren, to determine the events leading to deaths.

Police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
