Father and uncle of young boy killed in tragic Norwest shooting revealed as convicted cocaine dealers
Police are still trying to piece together how the boy suffered a gunshot wound to the face.
A young boy who died from a mysterious gunshot wound had family members with a history of drug dealing, 7NEWS.com.au can reveal.
The 11-year-old died on Thursday afternoon having been on life support since he was shot in the face and neck inside the Moda apartment complex on Fairway Dr in Norwest, northwest Sydney, about 5pm on Monday.

His death has sparked heartbreak amongst the locals, with dozens gathering to pay tribute to the young boy.
His school noted community is “deeply saddened” in a statement soon after.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, classmates and all those effected by this tragic loss,” the school said.
His family members also took to social media to pay tribute. “RIP my baby” one post read.
Those close with the family have also taken to social media to pay tribute to the boy.
“We are grateful we had the chance to say goodbye to him,” one wrote.
“Today is another heartbreaking reminder of how fragile life is.
“Hold your loved ones close, love deeply and treasure every moment.”
Police investigations remain ongoing and are trying to piece together how the young boy was shot.
Five other people were in the home at the time of the shooting but were not injured, police said.
Three men all aged 18 were arrested, with one of them charged with concealing a serious indictable offence.
The two others were released pending inquiries.
His family told 7NEWS on Wednesday the shooting was nothing more than a tragic accident.
They also said he had been looking forward to the school holidays.
Police are still searching for the gun used in the shooting and their investigation is ongoing.
