The popular seasoning has been available for sale in independent retailers across NSW, QLD, VIC, TAS, and SA, as well as online nationally.

“Any consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” a statement on the recall said.

“Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.

“Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”

Peanut allergies are particularly deadly due to the risk of anaphylaxis.

This is the second recall in two days, with a popular chocolate treat being pulled from supermarket shelves on Monday.

The Ministry of Chocolate alerted customers to an undeclared allergen in its New York Inspired bar.

“Any consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” the statement read.

The New York Inspired bar — which is milk chocolate with a peanut butter and jam filling — has been available for sale in independent food retailers in WA and NSW and independent retailers including IGA in Victoria.

The Ministry of Chocolate advised customers who have a gluten allergy not to consume the chocolate bar, and return it to where they bought it.

The confectionery company announced the recall via email and Instagram on Monday afternoon, warning that the New York Inspired bar contains undeclared gluten.
