Four people injured in head-on crash in Noorat, Victoria

Four people have been injured in a head-on crash in a Victorian town.

The two-vehicle collision happened on Terang Mortlake Rd in Noorat at 6.20pm on Thursday.

Two people who are believed to have serious injuries were airlifted to a Melbourne hospital.

Another two people were taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The road has been cordoned off and will remain so for some time on Friday while police investigate.

It is not yet clear how the crash happened.
