Gooseberry Hill stabbing: Woman in critical condition after incident in Perth’s hills

A woman has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing in Gooseberry Hill and a man is barricading himself inside a home.

It is understood police and paramedics were called to a home in the Perth Hills suburb about 5pm on Tuesday.

Five ambulance crews were called to the scene before the woman was found with serious injuries at the address and rushed to Royal Perth Hospital under lights and sirens.

It is understood the woman was stabbed multiple times, including in the neck and torso. She is understood to be in a critical condition.

It is further understood there is a heavy police presence in the area, including the tactical response group, dealing with the unfolding situation.

Neighbours reportedly found the woman injured in a garden about 5.30pm and helped give her first-aid before calling for help.
