A beloved American restaurant chain that heartbreakingly closed its doors in Australia in 2020 is back.

Brisbane radio hosts broke the exciting news that will make many Aussies drool — after almost four years, Sizzler is reopening.

The nostalgic restaurant will be flinging open its doors in one State only for one night only to serve all the iconic favourites teasing cheese toasties, a salad bar and even a dessert bar.

Sizzler has since started an Instagram account asking followers to comment with their favourite meal to bring back.

The comments have been filled with Instagram users desperately awaiting the opening.

“Please please please let this be true...,” one user commented.

“I would pay to get a seat!,” commented another.

In November 2020, Sizzler officially shut its doors to end 30 years of giving Aussies dishing out some delicious food but its fans were not able to let the chain go quietly.

At one stage, Brisbane restaurant Frtizenberger acquired an authentic Sizzler cheese toast machine but KIIS 97.3 breakfast show hosts Robin Bailey and Kip Wightman have since levelled up the efforts.

The one-night-only pop-up will occur on July 16th with Robin and Kip transforming the Coffee Club on Charlotte Street into a Sizzler.

All menu items at the pop-up have been taste-tested by the co-hosts who assure diners the mouth-watering dishes “taste just like Sizzler”.

Kiis 97.3 listeners had the chance to win tickets on Monday morning.
