King Charles, Princess Kate and Prince William address horrifying Bondi Junction stabbings
King Charles says he is “utterly shocked and horrified” over the tragic events that unfolded inside Bondi Junction shopping centre on Saturday.
“My wife and I were utterly shocked and horrified to hear of the tragic stabbing incident in Bondi,” the statement read.
“Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of those who have been so brutally killed during such a senseless attack.

“Princess Kate and Prince William say they are “shocked and saddened” over the stabbing rampage that occurred in Sydney.”
Taking to Twitter, the Prince and Princess of Wales also gave their support to the families and first responders involved in the tragedy.
“We are shocked and saddened by the terrible events in Sydney earlier today. Our thoughts are with all those affected, including the loved ones of those lost and the heroic emergency responders who risked their own lives to save others. W & C,” they wrote.
On Saturday evening, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese described the fatal stabbing attacks as “beyond words and understanding”.
“This was a horrific act of violence, indiscriminately targeted at innocent people going about an ordinary Saturday doing their shopping,” he said.
“Our nation offers our deepest condolences and sympathies for all those who are grieving for someone they have lost and we send our strength to those who have been injured.”
NSW Acting Premiere Penny Sharpe late on Saturday night thanked innocent bystanders who “stood up for the people around them”.
“There are really more difficult days ahead,” she said.
“Tonight we hold in our hearts the families and the friends who have lost loved ones.
“This is going to be difficult, this is going to be hard for days to come. This is only just the beginning of the pain and the grief for so many people.
“Tonight I want to say on behalf of the New South Wales government that we will stand with you, we will provide the support that you need in these coming days and weeks.”
