A range of children’s toys is being urgently pulled from shelves at Kmart and Target stores across Australia due to serious choking hazards.

The 3D Mini Animal Toys manufactured by Zak Australia contain small parts that can detach, posing a significant risk to young children who may swallow the pieces.

The recalled toys have been available for purchase since June this year, meaning thousands of Australian families may have already bought the products.

Both major retailers are now offering customers full refunds for the affected toys, with no receipt required for the return.

Parents and carers are being urged to immediately check their children’s toy collections and remove any of the 3D Mini Animal Toys to prevent potential choking incidents.

The recall highlights ongoing safety concerns with children’s products, particularly those containing small detachable components that can pose serious risks to young children.
