Kye David Hart, who lived on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, died on Saturday.

Kye had followed in his father’s footsteps and played in the QAFL for the Noosa Tigers.

A GoFundMe has been created for the grieving family in the wake of the tragedy.

“We are absolutely heartbroken and devastated. There aren’t enough words to describe how much we love Kye and how much we will miss him,” family member Jess Hart said.

Ms Hart said Kye had “the biggest heart” and that funds would go towards his funeral expenses.

“Kye’s love and affection was contagious, his cheeky beautiful smile would light up any room. Kye had the biggest heart and only wanted to give and help others,” she said.
