Logan gun attacks: Two separate incidents rock suburb as shooters on the run

The normally quiet city of Logan was shaken by two separate shooting incidents on Thursday night, with police cordoning off two gun-related crime scenes within close proximity of each other.

The first incident, a violent home invasion has left a man in hospital after being shot and the second has left property severely damaged.

A 23-year-old man is being treated for gunshot wounds after a violent robbery at a residence on Granger Road, Park Ridge.

Police are reporting, a group of individuals stormed the home at 7.30PM, demanding property from the male occupant.

During the confrontation, a shot was fired, injuring the victim.

The assailants fled the scene with stolen items, leaving the man with non-life-threatening injuries before he was transported to hospital for treatment.

Authorities have declared a crime scene and are actively investigating the incident. The group of intruders remain at large, and it is still unclear whether the attack was random or targeted.

Just two hours later, around 9.30PM, another shooting incident occurred minutes away at Logan Reserve on Logan Road North, during an altercation among a group of people.

During the argument, a firearm was discharged with the bullet lodging in a nearby vehicle.

Several people involved in the altercation remained at the scene and were questioned by police., however, the individual who fired the shot is still on the run.

A crime scene has been established, and police investigations are ongoing.

Queensland Police have stated there is no immediate threat to public safety.
