An alleged senior member of the Lone Wolf bikie gang has been arrested at Sydney Airport after spending 20 months in Bali.

Mitchell West, 33, who is allegedly the outlaw motorcycle gang’s national sergeant-at-arms, was taken into custody shortly after arriving on a flight from Indonesia on Friday morning.

His arrest follows an extensive investigation into a series of alleged violent offences across the Lake Macquarie region, including a home invasion that left a man in hospital with head injuries.

Police allege three men forced their way into a unit on Macquarie Road in Cardiff about 10pm on February 4, 2025, before assaulting a 30-year-old man.

The alleged attackers fled the scene, leaving the injured man to be treated by paramedics before he was taken to John Hunter Hospital.

Three people have already been charged over the alleged attack and remain before the courts.

Detectives subsequently identified a fourth alleged offender who had travelled overseas.

According to The Daily Telegraph, West had been living in Bali since leaving Australia in February 2025, shortly after the alleged home invasion.

Investigators have also allegedly linked him to the extortion of a 57-year-old man in December 2024.

The allegations emerged during Strike Force Vigo, an investigation established by Raptor Squad North in November 2024 to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs.

Following his arrest on Friday, West was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with five offences, including wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and armed robbery causing wounding or grievous bodily harm.

He was also charged with two counts of participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity and demanding property in company with menaces with intent to steal.

West was refused bail and was due to appear before bail court on Friday.
