The nature of the woman’s injuries is unclear.
Police are investigating whether graffiti found on and near the home is related to the murder investigation.
One man is in custody and being questioned.
Police initially received a call saying yelling could be heard from the home about 9.20pm.
They then received a second call suggesting the situation was more “urgent”, Detective Inspector Dean Thomas said.
Soon after the discovery of the bodies, police identified a person of interest and a manhunt was launched involving the Critical Incident Response team and AirWing.

A 34-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested at Westall train station about 1.40am on Tuesday.
He was found with two large dogs and was “peacefully” taken into custody, Thomas said.
The victims have not yet been formally identified but it is believed the deceased male was the occupant of the home.
Thomas said the attack appears to have been targeted.
“We believe that there is a link between our suspect and the address but we’re just working together at this point to make sense of what that means and what it all looks like,” he said.
“The suspect has arrived at the address and then obviously an altercation has occurred which had led to the male and female being killed and the subject has then left the address.”
It is unclear how the man and woman were killed but it is believed a weapon was used.

Thomas said a post mortem examination will determine the exact nature of their injuries.
“We’ve got our major crime scene examiners ... examining the scene at the moment, that will take quite some time. That will go for the best part of the day,” he said.
The suspect will be interviewed by detectives on Tuesday.
7NEWS footage shows messages spraypainted on the home and on a fence opposite the property.
The messages include “enough is enough”, “karma has no menu” and references to veganism such as “meat is murder”.
Police say they are investigating if the graffiti is linked to the deaths.
“Homicide Squad detectives will work to determine if the graffiti is relevant to the murder investigation,” Victoria Police said.
Thomas urged anyone with any information to come forward.
“We’re appealing for anybody who may have seen suspicious activity on Adrienne Cres anywhere from about 9.20pm last night obviously down to Ferntree Gully Rd and anywhere in between that location and the Westall train station,” he said.
