New details have been revealed after a 22-year-old man died at one of Australia’s most popular ski resorts.

A 22-year-old snowboarder has died in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains in a tragic accident.

An incident occurred at the Perisher Ski Resort on Tuesday, with emergency services being called around 2.30pm.

The snowboarder, a young man, was unfortunately unable to be saved after he was injured in “a crash”.

“Officers attached to Monaro Police District arrived and were told a 22-year-old man had been injured after a crash,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

“He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.”

NSW Police confirmed that a report is being prepared for the Coroner.

Details around the crash remain unclear, and the identify of the young man has not yet been revealed.
