A 20-year-old man has been accused of stabbing a man in an alleged violent confrontation in a Queensland Bunnings carpark.

The young man was part of a group of three people who confronted the 36-year-old man known to them in the carpark of the Bundamba Bunnings in Ipswich about 5pm last Friday.

A fight broke out and the young man allegedly stabbed the victim in the stomach and arm.

The man survived the stabbing and has been released from Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Police investigations led them to a home in Doolandella, where they arrested the 20-year-old man on Monday.

They charged him with grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, and unauthorised use of a motor vehicle.

He remains behind bars ahead of a scheduled appearance in Richland Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
