A man has died in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in South Australia’s Riverland region.

A Ford Falcon sedan was travelling southwest on Scott Rd, Glossop when it collided with a Subaru Outback travelling southeast on Jury Rd sometime before 4.15pm on Thursday.

The driver of the Ford, an 84-year-old man from Cobdogla, died at the scene.

His passenger, an 82-year-old woman also from Cobdogla, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The 21-year-old Subaru driver and his three passengers - a 24-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old man - were not injured.

They are assisting police with their investigation into the crash.

Road closures were in place, however all roads have now reopened.
