A man has been charged after a crash that killed another man and a woman near the NSW, Victoria border.

About 2.30pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to the intersection of Racecourse Rd and Murray St at Tocumwal, after reports a Ford Ranger and a Toyota Hilux collided.

The driver of the Hilux, a 55-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 54-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 19-year-old man, was treated for serious injuries.

He was airlifted to The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne in a stable condition.

On Friday, July 19, the 19-year-old attended Finley Police Station where he was arrested and charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and two counts of negligent driving occasioning death.

He was granted bail to appear before Finley Local Court on Tuesday 27 August.
