Man charged with murder after father’s death at home in Brighton, Melbourne

A man has been charged with murdering his 84-year-old father in Brighton.

A man has been charged with murder after his 84-year-old father died from injuries at a home in Melbourne’s southeast.

Retired hairdresser Robert Hillemacher was found injured at the Foote St home in Brighton about 8.30pm on Friday.

Emergency services performed CPR before the man died at the scene.

Police arrested Hillemacher’s son, Anton, and on Sunday he was charged with murder, breaching an intervention order and aggravated burglary.

He was remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
