A man stabbed in the back at a Brisbane home — where an injured woman was also found — has chosen not to make a complaint to police.

The man in his 40s was treated by paramedics for the non-life-threatening wound at the Holland Park address about 6pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

The 24-year woman was suffering facial injuries and was taken to the same hospital in a stable condition.

Her injuries have been described as minor.

The incident is not being investigated by police.

“Police spoke to the man who has advised he does not wish to make a complaint to police,” police said in a statement to 7NEWS.com.au.
