Urban held his wife’s hand and opened a car door for her as the pair left the service for Nicole’s 84-year-old mother.

Janelle Kidman died in September, with her death announced as Kidman arrived in Italy to accept the Venice International Film Festival award for Best Actress.

“I am in shock and I have to go to my family but this award is for her, she shaped me, she guided me, and she made me,” Kidman said in a letter read by Babygirl director Halina Reijn at the award ceremony.

Janelle was widowed in 2014 when her psychologist husband Antony died following a heart attack in Singapore.

She is understood to have experienced health issues since at least 2022.
