Teen hospitalised after falling from moving vehicle at Gunn Point, near Darwin

A teenager has been hospitalised after falling from a moving vehicle in the Northern Territory, with police arresting another teenage boy.

The 19-year-old fell from the flatbed of a Toyota HiLux allegedly “driven erratically” along Gunn Point Beach about 6.40pm Sunday, police said.

Police and St John Ambulance paramedics attended, and the man was flown to Royal Darwin Hospital after suffering injuries to his leg.

The vehicle fled the scene before police arrived and was found in McMinns Lagoon on Monday.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and is assisting police with inquiries.

No charges have been laid.

Gunn Point Peninsula is a popular fishing and camping area about an hour drive from Darwin.
