Timber Creek: Man dead, three injured in wild brawl on isolated stretch of NT’s Victoria Highway

A man has been killed and three others injured in a wild brawl on a remote highway in the Northern Territory.
Emergency services were alerted to reports a large group, some armed with edged weapons, were fighting on the Victoria Highway at Timber Creek - about 600km from Darwin - shortly before 9pm on Monday.
Police say an unknown man got into a vehicle during the altercation and drove dangerously through the area, striking a 27-year-old man.

A 16-year-old male and a 65-year-old woman were assaulted with an edged weapon during the incident, police say.
The pair suffered serious injuries and were treated at the scene before being flown to Royal Darwin Hospital.
A 24-year-old man was also assaulted and received minor injuries.
The arterial highway was shut throughout Monday as police established three separate crime scenes.
Additional police were also brought in from Katherine, along with the Major Crash Investigation Unit, Northern Investigations Section, and Major Crime Detectives.
