NSW Police Wall of Remembrance: Premier Chris Minns labels vandalism of memorial in the Domain as ‘appalling’
A police monument in Sydney has been defaced with vile language, with the state’s premier labelling the vandalism as “appalling”.
The NSW Police Wall of Remembrance, dedicated to the memory of police officers killed in the line of duty, was significantly damaged by vandalism.
The words “evil” and “dogs” have been scratched across the wall, defacing the touching monument above the names of fallen members of the force.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Police believe the incident occurred at around 3.15am on Saturday, with officers discovering the damage on Sunday as part of Australia Day patrols.
“A crime scene has been established, which will be forensically examined by specialist police,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
Police and the Sydney City Council are beginning remedial works to repair the damage.
NSW Premier Chris Minns described the vandalism as “appalling” while speaking on 2GB on Monday.
“This is a disrespect to them (NSW Police) and the service, and also to the 276 names that are commemorated on that vigil,” he said.
