Two childcare workers have been charged with multiple alleged assaults on a toddler.

Police say a 28-year-old woman and a 54-year-old woman assaulted the same toddler a number of times on October 13 at a Doonside childcare centre.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command received a report about the alleged assaults on October 20.

“Following inquiries, police charged the 28-year-old with five counts of common assault yesterday (Thursday),” a NSW Police statement read. (Thursday 23 October 2025).

Both women have been charged with five counts of common assault.

They were issued a court attendance notice to appear before Blacktown Local Court on December 4.
